Savoie Jacquère

The Jacquère grape thrives in the limestone-rich soils of the pre-Alpine mountains. On southeast-facing slopes, the vineyards are bathed in sunlight throughout the day, while cool night air flows down from the mountain peaks, gently caressing the vines. This alpine climate imparts the wine with its elegant freshness and balanced character.
After careful clarification, the juice undergoes a slow fermentation at low temperatures (15–17 °C) to preserve the pure, fresh aromas and create a softer, more inviting texture. The wine is then aged on fine lees until spring, allowing it to develop richness and finesse before bottling.
Seductive pale straw yellow with delicate green reflections. The nose is subtle and fresh, with rustic undertones. On the palate, the wine opens up in an explosion of aromas – citrus zest and peach stone.
100% Jacquère
White wine from Savoie is best served chilled, typically at a temperature between 8–10°C (46–50°F). This range helps preserve its fresh acidity and delicate aromas, especially if it’s made from grapes like Jacquère, Altesse, or Roussanne. The Petit Vilain Savoie can be enjoyed now or cellared for up to 3 years.
Fish, White meat or Cheese. Perfect as an aperitif, with shellfish, grilled fish with fennel, or the irresistible cheese specialties of Savoie – Fondue, Raclette, and Tartiflette.

Roussette de Savoie

Between Chambéry and Albertville, on sun-drenched south-facing slopes, the Altesse grape – also known as Roussette – flourishes in soils rich in clay, limestone, and small stones.
This grape is one of Savoie’s most distinctive, carrying the unique expression of its mountain terroir. Here, where alpine winds meet the sun, the grapes develop their signature freshness and character. The vineyards are cultivated with care – grass grows naturally between the rows, and the soil is gently tended through mechanical weeding. Vineyard treatments are minimal and used only when necessary to protect against disease, always respecting the natural rhythm of the environment. The grapes are hand-harvested. Fermentation takes place slowly in oak barrels, where the wine undergoes malolactic fermentation and is aged on fine lees for nine months. This process gives the wine depth, richness, and a silky texture. It shines in the glass with a beautiful straw yellow color and golden highlights.
Delicate and inviting, with floral notes and white stone fruits, rounded off with hints of butter, toasted bread, and vanilla. The palate is full-bodied, fresh, and creamy, with a long, harmonious finish.
100% Roussette
Enjoy it chilled while young and vibrant, or allow it to rest for up to 10 years to develop further complexity.
Perfect as an aperitif with foie gras, or as a companion to fish and Savoie’s classic specialties. It pairs beautifully with Beaufort and Reblochon, but also surprises when matched with exotic dishes like tagine or curry – a wine of both finesse and adventurous spirit.
